        Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure flour correctly?

Use the spoon and level method to spoon flour into the measuring cup, then level it off with a flat edge. Scooping directly can lead to excess flour and dense baked goods.

Can I double the recipe?

Yes, most things can be doubled. Read my post about how to double the recipe.

Why is my dough not rising?

Yeast can be inactivated by too high or too low temperatures, and it also needs sugar to activate. Make sure your ingredients are at the correct temperature and that the recipe calls for sugar, which is crucial for yeast activation.

How do I know when something is done baking?

For cupcakes, mini cakes, and cookies, check for a toothpick inserted in the center to come out clean. For bread, look for a golden-brown crust and a hollow sound when tapped.
